Rod Jarman served with the Metropolitan Police Service for 31 years reaching the rank of Deputy Assistant Commissioner. He held a range of operational roles including deputy to the lead for Territorial Policing (with a command of over 25, 000 officers plus support staff), running major crime operations and implementing a range of major improvements. He has led Counter Terrorism and Serious Crime Operations, Major Crime Investigations, and a number of UK wide change programmes. In his final post he was Director of Leadership and Learning responsible for all training within the force delivering over 200, 000 days training a year across a range of specialism and sites. For his contributions to policing he was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal.
