Cyber Crime

The development of new communication systems have created a market for criminals which till now has been out of the public eye and allowed them to develop a range of scams and approaches to steal and hurt others. The same systems also provide police with new opportunities to investigate and intervene when people are committing crime.
Much discussion ahs been had about the new nature of these crimes but at the heart of them are simple frauds, thefts and other property crimes, stalking bullying and other personal crimes and the ability to maintain anonymity.
Our courses see the new communication systems as opportunities to detect crimes and offenders and we work with our students to help them understand how they can make themselves safer and more effective.
