The London Policing College entered a new era this month as we signed an exciting contract and developed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of West London. The contract enables us to work together on projects whilst protecting each others rights and the MOU underpins our joint collaboration on new police learning qualifications and apprenticeships.
‘This is a major step forward for us as an educational organisation, moving us into the world of learning and placing us in a unique position to offer apprenticeships and other qualifications in line with the new professional approach set out by the College of Policing’. Rod Jarman
Our courses have always reflected the Approved Practice and the evidenced approaches (‘What Works’) set by the College of Policing. This partnership will enable us to bring together our deep and extensive experience and knowledge of policing with the professional skills and academic rigour of the University. We intend to develop programmes which use flexible and innovative approaches to allow them to fit into the operational context of the students and believe our combined expertise in policing and experience in apprenticeship degrees means we will be at the cutting edge in terms of our offers and will be able to work quickly and effectively with potential clients.
